Thermowood is created by heat-treating Scandinavian softwood to temperatures ranging from 180 – 230° in special chamber kilns for up to 96 hours. This produces a beautiful and sustainable timber. Steam is used as a protective gas and helps to prevent the wood from splitting and becoming damaged during treatment. Its attractive appearance and removal of resin mean that the timber is ideal for Saunas. Thermo-treated wood benefits from its durability, beauty, dimensional stability, environmental friendliness, and quality.

This beautiful Barrel Sauna boasts long benches perfect for lounging, and enough room for up to 6 bathers. It also features 2 windows in the back wall, a changing area with with a full glass door, plus a porch with 2 benches ideal for cooling off. The Barrel design offers a much smaller heating area than any rectangular sauna for maximum energy efficiency. This model is available in Spruce or Thermowood.
